QuickBooks® POS End-Of-Life
On February 8th, 2023 Intuit has announced that as of February 8th, 2023, QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0 will no longer be available for purchase by new customers, and new stores cannot be added. Existing customers can continue to purchase additional user licenses until the product is phased out on October 3rd, 2023.
What does it mean after October 3rd, 2023?
Our Take On It
No Need To Panic
There is no reason to panic or to switch software at this time. You have already made a substantial investment in your current software licenses.
There is no need to purchase a new software and/or hardware, migrate all of your data and retrain your employees and incur in monthly software fees and high payment processing fees.
We do recommend you purchase additional user licenses while they are still available, should you foresee having to add more stations in the next few years.
Your current solution will continue to work for months and years to come. We can assist you with that!
Payment Processing
Although your Intuit payment processing will stop working on October 3rd, 2023, you can continue processing payments, supporting EMV, Wireless, PIN Debit, EBT and Gift Cards while maintaining PCI compliance. Payment Collect plugin will not only provide you with the ability to continue processing payments but it will also allow you to save substantially in your payment processing fees.
POS Support
Payment Collect support team is second to none! We answer the phone promptly and are able to assist you with most QuickBooks issues. There is also an extensive network of third party companies we would be happy to refer you to.
File Exchange
Our File Exchange plugin, designed to replace the Intuit connected exchange service, works seamlessly with QuickBooks Multi-Store to exchange data between the server and the multiple locations. It works in the same way as the Intuit Exchange service.
This plugin will continue to work even if the Intuit Exchange service is discontinued.
Shopify Integration
Our QuickBooks to Shopify Integration plugin performs a two-way exchange between QuickBooks POS and Shopify. The exchange involves customers, inventory, invoices and sales.
POS Future…
Currently PaymentCollect has a plugin for QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online, should you chose to migrate to any of those products in the future.
